Creating A Re-Direct Link

People Are More Likely To Click On Your Link if It Is Your Own Domain Name Rather Than a Long Cumbersome Affiliate Link.

Many people will not click on the link just because it looks long, complicated and scary.

Tell me which link seems less Scary? The link above or this:
https://www.servethailand.com/SysIOWebBuilder

I suspect the servethailand link would get more clicks. It just looks better. You might not even consciously decide to click on it. You probably will trust it without a second thought. You want people to feel good about clicking on your link and going to your website.

This is called a Re-Direct and is a number one reason to own your own domain.

How do you construct a re-direct URL?

It is simple. My Domain is servethailand a dot com domain. On that domain I make a folder called SysIOWebBuilder. In that folder I place a php file called index.php

The php file “index” contains this line of code:

header("Location: https://systeme.io/website-builder/?sa=sa018828570579cbcafd31bf3528e823f5d6610c94 
");

This single line of php code redirects a click on this link:  https://www.servethailand.com/SysIOWebBuilder

And sends it to this location: https://systeme.io/website-builder/?sa=sa018828570579cbcafd31bf3528e823f5d6610c94

A second reason this is very valuable is because in the past I used GDI for my Websites. After being with them some time, website security became an issue and GDI did not support https: only http: and my Links were often blocked or flagged as Not Secure. I had banners and ads out there promoting GDI affiliate links. What a waste…

But it wasn’t a waste, why? Because I created a redirect. All I had to do is change that one line of code from the going to GDI affiliate link to the SysIO affiliate link and presto, all my ads sent people to my new service instead of GDI. Whew. Saved me a ton of work and a ton of money.
